The DD Ombuds staff along with Advisory Committee members attend the statewide People First of Washington Convention in Spokane. The DD Ombuds office hosted a resource table and participated in two workshops at the convention.

At our resource table we talked to people about how they are doing, passed out resources, and had people fill out our stakeholder survey: https://ddombuds.org/stakeholder-input/

Tim presented about Staying Safe Online, in his presentation audience members learned about different ways to use the internet and how to stay safe while staying connected.

Noah presented with Allies in Advocacy about Supported Decision Making Agreements. The presentation titled Preserving Independence While Providing Supports discussed how to get support in making decisions, and the different ways people can get the support they need.

If you are interested in one of those presentations for a group of people with I/DD in your area, or a different presentation about self-advocacy, contact the self-advocacy educator at tim@ddombuds.org.
