There is a new resource to help youth and others understand the process of supporting decision making it is called the “Center on Youth Voice and Youth Choice” they have videos and a plain language glossary to help people understand their options.

When youth are transitioning to adulthood they might be asked about Supported Decision Making, guardianship, or what possible alternatives can be used to help them get support to make decisions and be in control of their lives.

It can be very confusing and overwhelming. There are resources available to help people understand their choices, and how they can get the best support to make the decision that works best for them.
